Gearn SteamChest 2004

The round Gearn steamchest has 5 levels of steam control. Available with a built in grain level controller for maximum and minimum grain level, this automatically keeps the steamchest full of grain, when not equipped with an overhead bin, and if the unit runs out of grain will open the rolls to help prevent damage to the roller mills, requires Gearn hydraulic package. The steamchest is fully weather proofed, insulated, and sealed. Also available with the Gearn steamchest is a steam vent system which prevents steam buildup in the roll room and mill building. The vent system is made up of a peg feeder stainless steel transition and heavy material separator, and stainless steel vent stack which is 30' tall to help draw the steam out of the peg feeder, separate the solids and moisture, and vent the live steam.

This is the state of the art in grain cooking for steam flaking. The R19 insulation is almost twice what is available else where. It saves money everyday as long as you own it, a one time investment that will always pay back and make you feel good about saving energy as well as money. The chest is constructed to withstand a 3,000 lb. roof load, for down spouts and augers.

The steamchest comes standard with electronic temperature system which tells you exactly what is going on inside. There is a bottom sight glass to let you know that the grain is really there and is moving. All to help you produce a better flake for less cost. 

The steam valves are easy to replace as well as being functional with individual steam hoses for each control a great idea for ease of maintenance.
