The Gearn Extreme, Level Control is manufacturedto specifications which are not matched by any other rotary type bin level control manufacturer. The unit has no clutch to fail. It is designed so that when to rotor is locked to motor will shut off, but also as a fail safe the unit is engineered so that it will not damage any internal part if it stays under power while locked down. How do we do it? The seal and bearing mounts are machined from a solid stainless steel shaft with very close tolerances to hold the two seals and the rust resistant stainless steel ball bearing. The first line of defense is a rubberized case double lip Viton front seal which is perfect for high temperature wet environments. Behind this front seal is the grease seal / reservoir, then the stainless steel ball bearing, then ending with a second double lip seal which has a stainless steel ring and stainless closure spring made also with the high temperature Viton seal material. The entire body of the unit including the mounting shaft, housing, cover plate and rotary output shaft are heavy 304 stainless steel plate or shaft. The casing is fabricated from 1/4" stainless steel plate. The entire case carries a full life time limited warranty. The torque rating of the internal gearbox is 10 times greater than any rotary type level controller we know of on the market. The gearbox has proven to withstand years of constant abuse. Day in Day out the Gearn Extreme is running in dust, dirt, sand, steam and many high heat environments all without failure. Plus the Gearn Extreme is impervious to most oils and many acids. Where others have failed, this is the level sensor that can be relied upon for the most caustic of duty in the worst environments.
